CM1000 Xfinity help
My CM1000 has quit working with my Asus RT AC88U Router. To trouble shoot I took the router out of the loop and connected my computer directly to the modem and tried to /renew the IP address to see if I could connect directly. It came back with a message that it was unable to contact your DHCP server. Does this point to a problem with Comcast? Any help is greatly appreciated.

When you took your router out of the loop did you reboot both your modem and computer? If not, try this first.
When you reboot the modem what does it show on the configuration page once its fully done rebooting?
Are you able to pull the cable modem logs?
Can comcast see your modem if you contact them?
