cm1000 xr500 and orbi

I have a cm1000 router along with an orbi157. would like to add a xr500 for gaming. Would the orbi be compatable if I place the xr500 between the other two?

    Your description is a little vague. here's what I understand.you want to go: 

    CM1000--xr500--Orbi?

    is this correct?

    You'd need to put your orbi in AP mode. 

    What is your goal here? The orbi is quite capable. What benefit do you believe the XR500 would give you? 

    If you're gaming, a hardwired connection to the orbi would be the best benefit versus changing routers.

    As plemans mentioned. I've has my CM1100 connected to my XR router with Orbi in AP mode connected behind the XR router. the WiFi on the XR router should be disabled if your wanting to use the Orbis wifi system.
