CM1000v2 firmware question Comcast vs Cox
I have a CM1000v2 that I purchased and used when I lived in a Comcast area.
I moved to a Cox area and brought the modem.
On the Netgear page,
it states the latest firmware versions are:
Comcast:v7.01.01
Cox: v1.01.03
My modem says I have v6.01.07
Any foreseeable issues?
Thanks
Kevin

You'll need to contact the ISP and have them check on support and activation on there networks.
If the FW version is more recent then what Cox is supporting, they may downgrade the modems FW to what they currently support. Something to ask them about. ISPs are in charge of cable modem FW. Users can not update or downgrade modem FW whatsoever. All ISPs handle for any cable modem connected to there network.
shouldn't be any issues.
Is it working as it should?
that's the key point.
