CM1000v2 Reset For Connection
Hello,
I have a CM1000v2 modem that requires a power reset anytime I connect a new hardwired device (directly to the modem, through a switch, or through a router).
This is irking me because I have a hard wired printer that powers off when not in use and will not reconnect unless the power to the modem is cycled.
I have logged into the modem and have no control for any of the settings other than performing a factory reset or changing my login password.
I appreciate any feedback to resolve.

A power cycle is only needed if you connect up a device directly to the modem on first time using the device with the modem. If you have a external wifi router connected. Any and all devices connected at the router should not require the modem to be reset or power cycled. If your having a problem with these devices connected to the router, I would start with trouble shooting the router.
What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem?
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.Be sure your usnig good quality CAT6 lan cable between the modem and your wifi router.
