CM1100 and CM1200 connection w Zito media DOCSIS 3.1 using generic bootfile for Netgear?

Switching to DOCSIS 3.1 for  future expectations.  Was informed by zito home tech and phone support tech that DOCSIS 3.1 is supported.

3/3/21 Zito media FINALLY FIXED problem on line external of home.

Had great connection for about 3 weeks with CM1100.

The speed slowed..  speedtest indicated it would connect, quickly reach a non peak speed and the continually decrease .. but not disconnect.

4/1 - Tech came to home. attched Zito Modem router...  got full speed.

We then attached my backup CM700....   got full speed.

-- I assumed CM1100 issue as I had purchased used.

4/4 got new CM1200.  Connected.   Had exact same issue with internet connecting and then slowing.

4/5 Contact Zito Media.  Phone support tech escalated issue.   Waiting- have not heard back yet from escalation. Accordin to tech, Found out Zito media uses a "generic" boot program and not the netgear boot file for DOCSIS 3.1.

-- switched back to cm700 so internet would work.

 

So at this point DOCSIS 3.1 modems seem to be the common denominator.

 

so at this stage staying online with CM700

 

Why dont they have boot file?

do you provide free or charge ISP?

 

I live in rual arrea..  waiting for Starlink...

    You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information regarding boot files. Something that Forum or NG support handles.
