FIOS ISPs use different hardware from what the CM modem needs. You'll need to contact your ISP to have them help with there equipment. The CM series modem works only on Cable ISP systems. Does not work on FIOS ISP systems.
You should be able to connect your AX4300 router to there modem/router system.
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.
Good Luck.

My internet provider's modem/router combo is via fiber optic (FIOS) and there is no coax cable attached to it---just the fiber optic cable. The CM1100's set up instructions state to "use a coax cable to connect the cable port on the cable modem to a cable wall outlet.
Do I need to get a coax cable or just use the fiber optic cable that was attached to the internet provider's modem/router combo?
I tried using the existing fiber optic connection but the Online LED never came up solid green.
What am I doing wrong?
