CM1100 Slow Speeds & Frequently Disconnects With Several Uncorrectable Codewords

Background on the issue: I have Mediacom for an ISP, and should be receiving about 1gb/s download speeds. Ever since I have began service with Mediacom I have been having issues (Different equipment) ranging from frequently disconnecting, perfectly normal download speeds yet virtually non-existant upload speeds, and slow performance all together. I feel as if I typically need to have a tech come out to do "something" on the line outside every few months & when they do, my internet is slightly better, however I would still say far from the way I expect it to be. When they come out and do this I'd say my internet usually averages at about 500mb/s down, and 75mb/s up, then it slowly begins to creep back down.

I have a tech coming out later today, and want to have this resolved permanently if at all possible. Due to the fact several have come out, and this keeps occurring I am reaching out here in hopes that someone may be able to provide additional information that may be able to further assist in getting this resolved for me. My modem is currently running significantly better than it has been all week, however speeds are about 50-100mb/s down and 50mb/s up. Earlier in the week (pretty much all week) I've been seeing speeds of about 10mb/s down and .3mb/s up using ethernet directly to the modem. I had a tech come out a few days ago & shortly afterwards had download speeds of about 400mb/s and upload speeds with no change at about .3mb/s.

After doing virtually as much research as I can on this, I believe the issue may have to do with downstream & upstream bonded channels not being locked on the modem causing uncorrectable codewords to occur. My ISP claims that their is nothing they can do due to the modem not being their own equipment, and Netgear tells me that this is something my ISP will need to change for me.

Please let me know if there looks to be anything additional going on, or that I should bring up to the tech later today. If anyone can confirm that adjusting these settings would be something that would need to be done by the ISP then that would also be greatly appreciated! Also to note, my modem was restarted approximately 5 hours ago.

I am also semi-concerned about the OFDMA channels, however really don't know what I'm looking at with them.

After looking at your log, I'd bet you're correct in it being a line issue. How much does mediacom charge for rental? If they'll gaurantee that you'll get gigabit with their equipment (and you don't have to sign a log rental contract) rent their device for a month and make them their equipment/signal functioning well enough to fully run gigabit speeds. Once they get the line issue fixed, return it and run your cm1100. Might cost you $15-$20 for rental but it lights a fire to get them to fix it probably worth it versus numerous visits and slow speeds.
