CM1100 wifi not working

I just bought the CM1100 and got it hooked up and activated. I tried hooking up my PC and router to the modem, only to find out you aren't able to do that. So I reset both modem and router, and used port 1 to connect my router. Modem shows orange for port 1 and I have no wifi, but I have my PC and TV connected to my router and they both have internet? I'm lost and noob

The CM1100 is a cable modem only, it does not have any Wi-Fi or router capability.

The #1 port on the CM1100 needs to be connected via Ethernet cable to the WAN input port on a Wi-Fi router.  Your post indicates you have a router, what is the brand name and model number?  The remaining ports on your CM1100 should be left with no connection.

You can connect an Ethernet cable from one of the router output ports direct to your computer.  As an other option, the Wi-Fi router should broadcast a Wi-Fi signal your computer could use to connect.

Go to the Downloads section at the top of this page, put in the CM1100 model number and download both the installation guide and the user manual.

I have a Linksys E1000 router. I have only my Wi-Fi router connected to #1 port on the CM1100 via ethernet cable and I am not getting any Wi-Fi. But I have my computer connected to my Wi-fi router output ports and it has internet.

Sounds like your CM1100 is working as expected.  When you provide a new internet connection to your network, new CM1100, you will need to do a full reset and setup of your Linksys router.  The router remembers connection details from your previous internet connection source and now they are different with your CM1100.

You will need to go to your Linksys router documentation for instructions on how to do a full reset and reconfiguration.
