I just bought the Netgear Nighthawk CM1100 and will see if I get an Internet speed increase over my Arris SB8200.

Maybe a stupid question but if I install two Cat6a cables between the 2 Lan ports on my CM1100 and my wireless router will it increase the speed?

You'd need a router that supports link aggregation and a provider (comcast, cox, etc) who supports this feature/speed.

I tested using an ethernet cable and wireless with my Mac laptop. I used speedtest.net by ookla and was getting a range from 250mb to 450mb on Cox GigaBlast. I have not installed the CM100 yet but will tonight.
