Yes I test the speed on my computer and my ethernet to my TV

1.first pull up the modem configuration screen. then search (if you're on windows) for snipping tool on your windows programs. Use this to capture the information from the modem configuration.
2. Try a different computer. Not a tv, tablet, smart device. A different laptop or desktop to see if it could be a computer issue or setting causing it.
3. On the other computer, try the different websites I listed.

It looks like this thread hasn't been updated in awhile, but I am looking to see if there are common issues. I have cox and went from the 100 Mbps plan to the 300 Mbps plan and the speeds have been slower then when I was on the 100 Mbps plan. At some point Cox said there was an issue with the channel binding. I am not sure what that means, but I guess the 300 service uses different or more channels than the 100 service. Is there a way to know the problem is with the modem or with Cox?

Would be a ISP issue. The CM1100 handles up to 32x8 channels UP and Down. I've had mine on a 1Gb service and worked well.
Have a tech come by and check there singal up to the modem.
Only other issue could be just a bad modem that needs to be replaced.
