Check for any cable line splitters and remove them if seen.
Contact the ISP and have them check there signal up to the modem.

Thank you for that. Ive benn in contact with comcast they say everything is good. I tried talking with them 4 different times and all say is good. Ido have a splitter there as one goes to my cable box. but tried it with out it with the same results. Any other suugestions? Thanks.

Try a different CM modem. It's possible that your one unit could be faulty.

thats going to be a pain to return to bestbuy then going thu the hassle with comcast again. it did reach 900mbps on fast.com. Is that a good test website for speeds?

Ya we know. Need to check to see if different modem does samething to compare.
I use Ooklas installable speedtest app for Windows or Apple.
