cm1200 Connectivity issues with Optimum
Hello, I have had connection issues for the last 4 days with Optimum. I have CM1200 and it was working fine for 7 months. Since Thursday the connection is either completely lost or there are long stalls. I then must power cycle the modem. It's fine for a while but then i get disconnected again.
An optimum technician visited on Saturday. He checked the the cable and all the connectors leading to the modem and said everything's fine. He recommended that I switch to Altice. I said I first need to make sure that the issue is not on the ISP's end.
I've called Optimum to have the firmware updated. They did (It's now V3.02.01). I also did a factory reset.
However, nothing seems to have changed. I called them again today. They said they rebooted the modem on their end. But again, the problem has not been resolved. Optimum is visiting again on Tuesday.
I have uploaded the event log and the Upstream/downstream info. I'd appreciate it if you could take a look.
One last thing: Since I enabled the extended upstream transmit power, the connection is a little better.
Thank you for your help.

A few unlocked channels and some errors in the event logs showing line issues.
Might just have to wait for the visit.otherwise, start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
From there check the line for kinks, damage, moisture in the line.
Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.
If you can, simply connect the modem right where the coax comes into the home. This prevents wiring in the home from being the issue. And some ISP’s charge if the wiring issue is in the home. So this helps prevent this.
