CM1200 Downstream Blinking
I have the same issue with the blinking downstream light only. I have internet, but the downstream light is very annoying and want to avoid anymore disconnects. I got a 2nd internet line installed ...

Tech came out and replaced the splitter that splits to my 2nd internet line. he also ended up replacing the coax connector that connects to the splitter. Reinstalled my CM1200...no more downstream blinking lights and no internet drops so far for about 6 hours. Closing this thread.

Is it at all possible that Netgear modem is causing my high power levels? So I called my ISP (Cox) and requested a tech to come out and check the wiring from the box to my house and inform them to install an attenuator or 3db splitter tomorrow. In the mean time I went and installed their Panoramic WiFi Router/Modem to do some testing and so far for about 4 hours, it's consistently staying online with no issues and no downstream blinking lights and I am getting about 880mb download and 40mb upload. I currently have their 1g plan. I guess since its their equipment it has to work, smh. But my end game is to use my own modem because I refuse to pay $5/month to rent theirs.

No. Power comes from the ISP side on the coax.

Yep. But would need to confirm with the Mfr of there modem to see what power specs they put forth.
