CM1200 Failure
Greetings, it appears my CM1200 is failing and I have no idea how to approach this. I just bought it January 30th of this year. I did jot sign up for the “warranty” when I bought it. It has worked wonderfully up until the last week my internet does not work at all.
My ISP came out and checked several things, he found that the modem itself is not working. Roughly speaking it receives internet through coax , but none of the 4 ports on the back are functioning correctly. I have reset the thing several times and still nothing as gotten it working again.
Is it possible to do any kind of service or return through Netgear with it failing like this? I’ve only owned it for 5 months and paid a lot on Amazon for it, for the time being I bought a different modem but really hoping I can get this thing running again so I can return the one I bought. Thank you

Thank youFor normal installations, the only output port on the back of your CM1200 that provides connections to your ISP is port number 1. I recall that is at the very top of the device.
If you are trying to obtain connections from ports 2, 3, or 4, it appears you have not read the setup and connection section of the manual.
The normal warranty should be 1 year from Netgear. Go to the top of this page and follow the Support link. Do not follow any links that are provided through a web search for Netgear support. Multiple layers of scammers reside there.
Before you follow the warranty Return Material Authorization path, recommend you do additional troubleshooting on your device. Who is your ISP? Many ISP's are upgrading and making changes. This may have had an impact on your connection.
When your CM1200 is connected to the coax cable and powered up, what do the LEDs on the front indicate? There is a section in the user manual that starts on page 25 and the topic is troubleshooting using the front panel LEDs.
Go to the Downloads section at the top of this page, feed in your model number and download the user manual.

Are you getting front LED indications? Should be all GREEN
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status and event log page.

https://kb.netgear.com/30008/How-do-I-view-or-clear-the-event-logs-on-my-NETGEAR-cable-modem-or-modem-routerBe sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem?Be sure you understand that port 1 should be only used. The other ports are ISP WAN side assigned IP addresses from the ISP only. The CM modem is NOT a router.
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
