Hi there! I have tried all of the below - ISP tested lines, upstream and downstream and they said all looks clean and near perfect. There are no splitters and the tech just installed new good quality RG6 coax cables. Config file has been sent multiple times but never fixes the issue. Have tried endless power cycles with no change. Like I said, this has been going on for 2 months now. I feel like after all of this is might be something wrong with the modem specifically.

Have you tried replacing the modem? or using an old/backup modem to see if it is the issue?

This is the only thing I have yet to try; was going to pick up something from best buy today to see if the issue is fixed next time it goes down with the CM1200. Just seems weird that it only happens are certain times of the day and fixes itself; would these sympoms and the ones described before point towards a hardware issue? Even the xfinity techs I have spoken with have said they don't think it is a modem issue.

There's always the chance. Doesn't sound like it but again, stranger things have happened.

Alright, well I guess I'll run by best buy after work and pick up a new modem to see if when my connection goes down tonight hooking up a different modem fixes it. If it doesn't, I'll know it is not my hardware.
