CM1200 modem cannot access internet

The issue was resolved, turned out that the last Cox tech call I made the tech accidently mistyped a few of the numbers and letters in the MAC. After fixing the egregious mistakes, the Modem is working perfectly and the house has Wifi.

I have it connected to a model R7000 router. Cox was able to ping it and activate while I was setting it up. I am only using one port on the modem.

What firmware is on the R7000?
Are you able to follow the same procedure and access the internet with just a computer hooked directly to the modem? disconnect the R7000 and hook a computer up to the cm1200. then follow the reboot procedure i listed prior.
