The CM1200 does NOT have a router built in. The 4 ports in back are for WAN side IP addresses assigned by those ISP that support having more than 1 WAN IP address at the modem.
You need an external router connected to the modem on port #1 and connect any and all other wifi and wired devices to this external wifi router.
