Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.

I have turned off modem and router, unplugged everything, then powered on modem and waited until it fully reboots to ppint of Online LED solid. Then I plugged in cable to router and powered it on. When it completes its startup the Online LED is Red.
I'm suppose to be able to connect to the modem using a direct access IP address. But it tells me to connect a computer to the router wirelessly. I can't seem to do that and I'm using a Mac so no ethernet port.

Can you find a USB to ethernet adapter? Usually cheap to find online.

Guess I'm going to need to do that. Thanks.

You cannot connect direct to the modem via a wireless connection. The modem contains no Wi-Fi hardware.
From your description, your modem may be connecting fine. If you go to the Downloads section above, feed in the model number of your router (look on the label after the words model number) you can download the user manual.
The user manual usually has a section called troubleshooting with LEDs. Note, the user manual will use the color amber to describe what you are calling red.
