CM1200 slows down after 24-48 hours of uptime when using link aggregation
If I hook up my CM1200 to my router (an Asus RT-AX88U) in Link Aggregation mode, it seems to be consistenly slow down to only around 66-ish% of the full connection speed after somewhere between 24 an...

With the latest firmware it doesn't work at all for me now. It used to at least work before but then eventually would slowdown but now if I have it turned on my router can never get an IP Address. I don't think they care at all about this feature.

StrumerJohn, a few questions…
- What router (brand, model, and firmware version) do you have connected to the CM1200 modem?
- What company (e.g., Xfinity) is providing your internet service?
- What firmware version is installed on your CM1200 modem?
Thank you.

Why are you asking? Do you have a fix to the link aggregation problem?
- StrumerJohnAug 14, 2020TutorYeah, no offense, I know you're just trying to potentially help, unless you got a fix what's the point? A lot of us have already given out information like this tons of time to no avail. If you've got a fix I'll spare the 3 minutes to gather that information; otherwise, you just passing this along to Netgear isn't going to do anything. We've all heard that response in here before. Sorry for being salty, but every single one of us in here put down the money to buy the most expensive Netgear modem for a reason and that sole purpose doesn't work.
- DirtyPatriotAug 14, 2020GuideThey won't bother giving us solution, they rather bait more people in than fix it. My guess is they will drop a wifi 6e revision and screw over early adopters.
- sterlingsandersAug 14, 2020GuideYeah, I’ve already decided these are my last two Netgear products.

I noticed that my router updated to firmware version 3.2.16.6 this morning, but I have not seen any documentation on reported changes yet. I wonder if any of those who are experiencing/testing the LAG issue have seen whether this version of firmware fixes the problem?

Please post about that in the Orbi AX forum. This thread is for the CM1200 modem slowdowns with LAG is enabled.
Thank you.

Has anyone trying to get link aggregation working tried with the recent firmware version 3.2.16.6?

At the top right of orbilogin.com. I have not tried LAG yet, I am waiting to see if it has stopped degrading with others who reported it on this thread.

No, thats not the FW or modems web page for the CM1200. Thats the Orbi FW.
You need to log into the modems web page at 192.168.100.1 to find the modems FW version. Not all users have a Orbi system connected to the CM1200 modem.

- DirtyPatriotAug 17, 2020GuideNo improvement after initial firmware upgrade however a few days ago a update was pushed to my router rbk852 and so far I have been seeing stable speeds via LAG 1200down 42up. I'll run another test tonight to double check.

Oh I know that. I was thinking a new router firmware update might have helped, since it is the modem and router working together to make LAG work? Or is it known to be a modem issue and I missed that?

The LAG issue was with the modem only, didn't matter what router is connected. Thus we ask about FW about the modem and not router FW. IF there are any udpates to the modem FW, then this is what should be posted.

What FW is loaded on the CM1200 modem?

FYI: The CM1200 firmware has been updated from V1.02.02 to V2.02.05 by Comcast (see this thread), which may assist with the reported link aggregation problems.
