I upgraded to my current router and to 1 gig internet at the same time, so I also bought a nice pair of Cat8 flat cables to go with them.
I did check both the links you provided. Unfortunately the DSLReports site is very limited in the RCN/Astound section. I also went to the TP-Link forums but found next to nothing about my current router, and just a bit on general compatibility.
I think I'm just going to have to go for it and see how it turns out.

Try to choose a vendor that has a decent return window/policy.
