Cm2050v expanding ethernet ports
Hi, I have an old modem that I use to watch xfinity cable, xfinity internet and xfinity phone. The Arris modem is connected to my tivo, yup I said tivo, via an ethernet cable. I also have another ethernet cable going from the modem to a tivo mini. I wanted to upgrade so I picked up the CM2050v. It has only one ethernet port. How do I expand to 2 ports so I can connect both tivo units?
Warning I am a beginner so be patient. Thanks Ren

The output port is designed to feed an internet signal to the input port of a router. The router would have multiple output ports to connect devices for your local network.
Sounds like your Arris modem is a combination modem/router device. A model number would help sort out your situation.
