I have used both the CM2050V and the RAX200 together since 2020. All of a sudden the front status lights are not working on the CM2050V and occasionally I will get a message that the internet is not...
When the lights are failing, it tends to indicate a hardware issue. Whoever you contacted was more than likely a scam site and not a legit netgear site. They pop up all the time.
