CM2050V

Question

I purchased a Netgear CM2050V voice cable modem. With Xfinity is my provider, I'm getting connections up to 1194Mbps. I just signed up for $10 bucks more for speeds of up to 2Gbps a week ago. Since I purchased the CM2050V, is it up to me to make the provisions for the faster speed, or must I wait for Xfinity to make the changes for me? If I must do it, what are the steps?

You'll need to wait fo the ISP and NG to get the CM2050v to support the higher speeds. ISP isn't supporting the CM2050v on there next gen speed tier as of yet:
