But that’s the thing I have used a different modem and tested the theory and everything worked fine. It was an Xfinity issued modem/router combo their xb7. If that one is being used as the modem the WiFi never kicks off and don’t have speed issues, even if I put it into bridge mode it still works fine with my router. As soon as I disconnect and start using the cm3000 again I start getting the WiFi issue. I have even factory reset both cm and router and set everything up from scratch and I’ve always had IPv6 disabled from the get go and nothing has improved. Only if I use a different modem so that’s why I’m thinking it’s a modem not. Router issue which also is hard to understand because like you said modems don’t control WiFi only routers do.
