CM400 upload speed to comcast

My upload speed from this modem and the prior netgear CMD31T will not exceed 10Mbps.  Comcast says they can change their Modem to modify speed on upload but cannot change Netgear.  They say I need new Comcast Modem which is to be installed tomorrow.  Is there a way through the CM400 firmware to change a setting to increase the upload speed?

    The CM400 should be able to handle above 10 mbps do you have any more info from comcast and why they believe its a issue with the modem.
