Cm500 bad ping spikes.

Ive recently changed over to my own modem from coxs panoramic modem. i started having alot of ping issues online when gaming. with the  cox modem i didn't. i even bought the C7800-200NAS  and it was the same issue. it worked perfectly with the cox modem. im wondering what the issue can be. Im running a cm500 with a netgear ac2300 router. when i was using cox modem i was also using the ac2300 as my primary so i dont thing its the the router as i tried the 2 in1 C7800-200NAS.

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are not coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.

Has already been checked with multiple cox agents and yes good quality rg6 coax cable was used by installer almost 2 years ago issues have been this past month

Try a different modem to see if if problems continue.

WIth more and more people working form home now days, possible the ISP network can be congested or bogged down.
