CM500 download speed with Xfinity
I I recently upgraded my Internet with Xfinity to 300Mbps. After the upgrade, my connections maxes out at 110 Mbps. According to their support, the problem is on my end, and they suggested I have one...
Thanks for the quick respinse. I have already all but one of the suggestions. I was not able to connect to the Internet while plugged in to the back of the modem.. A comparison between several devices, both hard wired and wireless give me similar download speeds.
If you're hardwired into the modem, can you get a screen snip of your modem connections page? it'll show signal strength/quality for the modem. That helps a lot with seeing how your connection is.
Many times xfinity will charge a fee if the issue is within your house. If you're going to have a tech come out, make sure to move the modem to right where the line enters your house and remove any splitters, attenuators, amplifiers. This ensures that the wiring within your house isn't causing the issue. Plus if it fixes the issue, then it is an issue within your house or one of the items you removed.
