CM500 Network Light Off
Good morning! The Network light on my CM500 is off. All other status lights are green. I cannot connect to the modem from the network or via direct connection. We had a storm last night so I'm wondering if the modem took a surge of some sort. All other equipment seems fine. I tried resetting and no luck. I suspect I will be buying a new modem this morning but thought I would check here first. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
- Thank you. Tried it but no go. I replaced it w/a CM1200. Everything is back in order.

Storms are great at wrecking electronics.
Something to try though.
Disconnect the coax from the modem.
Then push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds until the lights blink.
When its fully rebooted after the reset, power it off for a couple minutes.
Then connect the coax back to the modem.
Then power it on and wait a couple minutes.
Then connect a pc/laptop or your router to it with a new ethernet cord.
