CM500 very slow

I was excited to receive Netgear CM500. I thought it that my internet will be much faster than my old modem. Turn out my old modem has much better speed than CM500, which is slow. I don't know what had happened. Please help. Thanks!

    Have the ISP check signal levels up to the modem and have them watch it while you speed test. Be sure your speed testing with a wired PC connected to the modem. Try different browsers for the speedtest site or use Ooklas speed test app for windows that doesn't need a browser.
