CM500 weak signal, slow internet.

I have owned my CM500 for two years now and it has worked great for me. However, my roomate and I have recently begun having issues with recieving a weak signal on our devices (even if we're in the same room as the modem and router) and have also noticed slower internet download speeds to our devices. 

 

I checked for firmware updates and the download center said there is no firmware for my device so I assume that means it's updated. I decided to check this board before calling my ISP and seeing if it was something on thier end. I briefly checked similiar topics on this board, but didn't see anything immediatly helpful.

 

Any help you can provide would be very appreciated.

    The CM500 is only a modem you have a router connected to it to give wifi what is the model of the router?
