CM500V reverts to default password?

I have recently gotten a CM500V cable modem with Comcast as my ISP. As usual, I reset modem the password to a new password and tested to make sure that I could log in using the new password. And then...

It could be from comcast since they control the release and revisions in the firmware.

    Yes, that's what occurred to me as well. Hasn't done this for about 3 days, since I opened a ticket with Netgear. So whatever it was seems to have stopped. I'm going to close the Netgear case and call it a day.
