CM500V voice works intermittently after initial startup in July 2020. Many resets and unplugs.

Model CM500V purchased from Amazon in July 2020. After initial startup worked for 2-3 weeks without interruption. Since that time the dial tone has been lost many times after power loss, internet blip, or unknown. The unit has been reset and unplugged many times. I feel that the unit may be defective. Prior to this an Xfinity modem was used and had no issues.
