CM600 CenturyLink - not listed, downsides?
I am considering a change to CenturyLink and currently have a Netgear CM600 modem - it is not listed as compatible. Is the downside zero function, or just somewhat reduced capacity?

The CM600 is for cable modem operators. In my experience centurylink is either dsl or fibre.
Not 100% because all areas are different and centurylink could have bought up different providers with that setup.
Have you checked to see what centurylink has at your residense? If its dsl or fibre, they're correct in that the cm600 won't work.
