CM600 Firmware can’t be update from Turkey

Hello everyone,
I am writing from Istanbul, Turkey. My problem is that I can’t update my modem. That’s because Netgear is not letting us to update it manually. The current version of modem is V1.01.14 but it must be V1.01.16. Now, I’ve just set the cable internet and connect to modem. But Although everything is normal with cable net, the modem can’t get online. I checked and I noticed that the version is not updated. My internet provider is TURKSAT KABLONET. What should I do? I got crazy with this issue. Please help me! Thank you.

  • And a second question is, Is it possible that the modem can’t catch the online just because of the firmware is not updated? Or Can I get internet with outdated version? Because I have just connected to the cable and the provider registered my mac i.d.. so is the problem only because of the modem version is outdated?

All updates get sent to the ISP and then the ISP sends it out to the modems no way to manually update cable modems.

Is it possible a provider would let you add a modem and not push out firmware updates?
