CM600 speed
Just upgraded to the CM600 modem, but whenever I do speed tests the download is 15 or so, upload less than 2, ping varies a lot. The CM600 is capable of a lot faster speeds than that! Overall we're accessing web pages faster than with the old modem, but why are the speed tests so abysmal? We have Xfinity internet.

Are you doing speed tests directly from the modem or are you connected to a router? Try direct from the modem.

Connected to a router. However, I contacted Xfinity and they upgraded us to a much faster internet plan. They had SAID on our bill that we were paying for 70 mbps, but the agent SAID we only had the basic plan with 6 mbps. That's Xfinity for you. Now the speed tests are much much faster. Not noticing much actual difference though, so we may have to replace our 5-year-old computer. Thanks for your input, Darren.
