CM700 - Setting up dedicated guest network on 2.4ghz for Wifi Thermostat
Carrier customer service states I need to set up a 2.4ghz dedicated guest network for my wifi thermostat. It is seeing my 5G network and disconnecting since it doesn't run on 5G yet. Very annoying that I can't access my smart home remotely, so I need this "guest network" to connect my t-stat to and I don't know how to set this up. Spectrum can't help because the router did not come from them. Best Buy Geeks say I need to talk to my ISP. Help???

CM series modems are only modems. They don't have any built in router or wifi capabilities.
You'll need to consult the wifi router systems manufacturer for help and support information regarding there product that is connected to the CM series modem.

My CM700 is connected to a network switch and then there is also an Eero mesh network involved here. I believe these components complete the information needed to explain my hardware. It was all installed by the Geek Squad when the home was built.

Something to make contact with with the Mfr of the wifi router system.
Good Luck.
