As plemans says, why?
Reboot is not the same as reset, which is much more severe. Which are you doing?
The CM700 is a basic modem. It doesn't do much beyond connect you to the Internet. Any problems may be down to whatever else you have on your network.
Is there some sort of router that is causing you problems?
Is it just a case of devices that won't connect to your network?
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware.

I did a chat with comcast and they told me theres an issue with a boot file for the CM700 and I should contact netgear but I'm also out of my 90 day window. Wasn't trying to upgrade but I may have to.

My sensors tell me that this is ISP in buckpassing mode again. But we may be able to get Netgear to pay some attention.
Perhaps ChristineT or DarrenM can help.
Among us regulars, plemans is a cable modem user and knows more than most about those devices .

Comcast is great at passing the buck.
that cable connection page and event logs can help us check your connection.

At least the firmware was actually upgraded, I was skeptical the agent wasn't actually helping me.
