CM700
I restarted my CM700 modem and now the Wi-Fi stopped working. There is a amber blinking light at the bottom of the modem and when I looked it up it means the modem is resetting or its updating firmware. I have tried to connect to the modem through my PC to see if there is an update but I cant get into the modem with the IP on the bottom. I have tried factory resetting, taking out the coax cable and restarting it. I left it over night hoping it would be updating the firmware and be fixed in the morning but still is blinking. The weird thing is it will say Wi-Fi is connected for a couple seconds and I can connect to the web and then it goes away so I'm not sure what else to do. I don't have a support package anymore since its 6 months since I bought it so my only hope is the community right now.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The CM700 is a modem only. No wifi.
Check the external wifi router you have attached to the CM modem for problems with WiFi.
ISPs can only send FW updates to cable modems.
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status and event log page.

What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem?Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
From there check the line for kinks, damage, moisture in the line.
Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, loose connections, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.
