Comcast drops several times in the afternoon

I have comcast gigbit service.  The speed is great and I am getting 500mbps over wireless.  My problem is every day between 2 and 4PM ET the Internet drops and I have to use their app to reset the modem.  A tech came out to the house and said the upstream was high but it settled down and did not go back up.  This is an every day occurance now.  Because I don't have their modem, they won't look at the modem logs.
