Comcast XB7 to Netgear C6900

I have 600mpbs plan with Comcast(Xfinity) and used XB7 router/modem. When I switched from XB7 to Netgear C6900 I noticed a significant dropped in speed. I was getting 550mbps hard-wired with XB7 and 350mbps with Netgear C6900.

Netgear support is terrible. In the future I will go with Comcast modem vs Netgear.

You're not comparing the same class of products.

The C6900 is a AC1900 router with only docsis 3.0 24x8 capability. its not even rated to gigabit on comcast.

The XB7 is a docsis 3.1 device with AX3600 support and a 2.5gig port. Its several years newer, a whole docsis spec newer, and even a wireless generation newer.

Of course it'll be faster. Try comparing the XB7 to the CAX80 and you'll be closer to comparing equivalent products.
