connecting a switch
Since this onlyhas one port, do I connect a switch to the modem? or do I let the modem find the wireless router wirelessly, and then conect the switch to the rouoter?
What device are you talking about? you didn't put any models or anything for us to help with. so all we can give you is generals.
If its a modem only, it needs to go:
modem------->router------->switch
if its a modem/router combo device, then you can put a switch directly connected.
you can go to netgear.com/support/ and type in your model. it'll take you to install guides, manuals, etc.
