D6000 connection problems

I have tried A040A07DFBOE labled MAC, and 3VT5755A003F1 labled Serial.
3V.... receives the message "This Serial number has already been registered in our system by a support representative."
A0.... receives the message " NETGEAR products have 13 digit serial numbers usually printed on the bottom or the back panel of the device".
Each of these creates a block in the process that disallows registration.
Sorry about choosing the wrong discussion group, lack of understanding on my part. How do I change to the correct discussion group?
