Device Limit for C7000v2 and Overcoming Them?

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my inquiry.

I have read that the typical device limit for routers is 32 devices per frequency. 32 for 2.4GHz and 32 for 5GHz.

I have a lot of smart home devices and I'm only going to add more. Most of my smart home devices are only able to be used exclusively on 2.4GHz, therefore I'm quickly reaching the limit for the 2.4GHz frequency.

What can be done to add more devices?

Can I add new wireless access points connected via ethernet? I have an ethernet running from the main access point to the garage, connected to a separate NETGEAR range extender in access point mode. Do those devices count towards the main router's limit? Or can I simply increase my device limit by 32 for every new access point?

Adding a WIFI extender, like a EX7000 or EX7700 that you could connect and offload some of your devices to this extender could help.

An extender works great as FURRYe38 pointed out.

Another consideration is picking up a renewed mesh system. The MK63/73/83 (I prefer the 83) mesh systems are super cheap renewed and not only allow you to have more devices but have better coverage.
