Do you have a screen snip of the cable connections page and the event logs?
what are the led's on the router doing? (color/blinking/solid/etc)
Do any devices get a connection?

All devices connect to the net but can't get any results from the web. Pinging Google using a code prompt returns a can't find host response while pinging 8.8.8.8 using a command prompt returns several successful hits. Appears that the modem/router is not converting "names" i to "up adresses" the web can find successfully. Is there a "fix" for this?

Browsers don't work? Any error messages?
Appears that the modem/router is not converting "names" i to "up adresses" the web can find successfully. Not sure that I get that. If this happens then the various things you are using will usually throw up some sort of error message.
What are the devices that "connect to the net"? What are they doing? Where do you see the messages:
connected but have no internet access
What are the exact messages? They usually offer clues. The skill is in understanding and interpreting them.
Any chance that you can respond to the suggestion from Kitsap?
In the manual go to the section labeled Troubleshoot with the LEDs.The LEDs will indicate what the traffic is on various bits of your network.
Then there is the query from plemans:
Do you have a screen snip of the cable connections page and the event logs? what are the led's on the router doing? (color/blinking/solid/etc) Do any devices get a connection?
You came here asking for help. There isn't a lot of point in flailing around with things like "ping" and worrying about IP addresses until you have started to answer some of the questions people have asked. Then they may be able to begin to offer that help.
- SCSMSep 06, 2022AspirantObviously I am not tech savvy. Computer, android phones and tablet not smart TV all show connections to out net but when we try to type in anything in the search bars of these devices they either just spin with no results or say they can't find the requested page. TVs will not connect to any streaming services of Directv, Hulu, Netflix or others. Al of these devices show a signal from the modem/router and say they connect to it without internet access. All phones and tablets connect and have internet access using mobile data once their wifi connection is turned off.
- SCSMSep 06, 2022AspirantAll LED lights on the modem/router are on solid except for the 2.4 G light which blinks continually. I have power cycled the router and also used the "reset" button all to no avail.

Are they the expected colours? "On" is just the beginning.
I have power cycled the router and also used the "reset" button all to no avail. After the reset, did you go in and see if the browser graphical user interface (GUI) works?
Can you connect a browser to
