Differences between CM1xxx modems

I need to purchase an new cable modem and would like to know the difference between:

CM1000

CM1000-1AZNAS

CM1000v2

CM1100

CM1200

Other than CM1100 and CM1200 have faster maximum speeds and more than 1 network port.

Thanks.

Becky

  • CM1000 are the same. Minor HW change in v2 is all. The1AZNAS is a Amazon sold unit.

CM1100 and 1200 are simiar as the 1000 accept for Link Aggregation support for LAG supporting routers and additional RJ45 ports.

The CM1200 has 4 ports total which each port can be assigned different WAN side IP addresses by an ISP. Do not confuse these ports as a router being present. There so no router on any CM series modem. The 4 ports are for WAN side IP addresses from an ISP only.

Other wise, all thse model modems are DOCSIS 3.1 supporting.

Check the spec sheets for each model modem for futher information.

Check with your ISP to see what they support on there network before buying.
