disable ipv6 CM 500

TWC is telling me that they don't support IPv6 from my cable modem. I don't see an option to disable it in the GUI.

Here is what I see:

Startup Procedure
Procedure Status Comment
Acquire Downstream Channel633000000 HzLocked
Connectivity StateOKOperational
Boot StateOKOperational
SecurityEnabledBPI+
IP Provisioning ModeIPv6 Onlyipv6Only(1)

Hardware VersionC312T00-01

Firmware VersionV1.01.04

Ideas?

  • The IP Provisioning Mode comes from TWC's CMTS.  The CMTS is the system that your cable modem talks to.  The Provisioning Mode only concerns the cable modem.  If your computers and devices are configured to use only IPv4, then they should work.

  • TheEther, this is frustrating. I'm having packet loss and TWC aka Spectrum is blaming it on the modem. They say that they aren't configured for IPv6 from this modem. Sounds like they're giving me the run around

I agree.  Blaming packet loss on IPv6 doesn't make any sense.
