Dns isn't resolving xbox server names

Hi. I have a cable modem, router combo(c7000v2) and i have problems with my xbox one connection. It alwas giving me a dns isn't resolving xbox server names error message. I changed it to a mobile hotshot and it works fine but when i connect it back to my netgear it gives the same error. I have, smart switches, wifi cameras and 2 smart tv that i stream on them with no problems with my netgear it's just the xbox. I did contact xbox support and they told me tha i have to do a network settings reset with my network provider but since i have my own equipment they told me to check with netgear first. Please help me
