Do I need 2 items for WIFI

I just purchased this modem, do I also need to purchase a router to use the WIFI in my home?  Or will this unit work by it self?  I do not have a laptop computer with an ethernet socket, what do I do?

    Hello Susan,

     

    Yes, appears the CM1150V| is a plain Cable Modem with voice services. For wireless, or to connect more than one system, you need to add a WiFi router (with Ethernet WAN).
