DOCSIS 3.1 Modem
Hello all. First post here. I’ve had a CM1000 modem for at least a year if not longer. Recently I was chatting with an Xfinity support rep and he said for the new IP 4K box I would need a DOCSIS 3.1 m...
If there was a update for upgrading 3.0 to 3.1, then it comes from NG then they pass it to ISPs before ISPs push it to customers modems. Something to ask the ISP about. Be aware that some ISPs don't push FW to customer owned modems.

Some ISPs required actual DOCSIS 3.1 modems for there 1Gb services. The ISP will have to ensure the CM1000 is compatible, if not, then find a actual DOCSIS 3.1, CM1100 or 1200 if you decide to go with NG.
