If there was a update for upgrading 3.0 to 3.1, then it comes from NG then they pass it to ISPs before ISPs push it to customers modems. Something to ask the ISP about. Be aware that some ISPs don't push FW to customer owned modems.
- ekkovilleNov 04, 2019AspirantThanks for the comment FURRYe38. Is it possible that the one I have is indeed different than what’s on the shelves in terms of performance? I’ll get another one if that’s what I need, just thought the box would be noticeably different

Some ISPs required actual DOCSIS 3.1 modems for there 1Gb services. The ISP will have to ensure the CM1000 is compatible, if not, then find a actual DOCSIS 3.1, CM1100 or 1200 if you decide to go with NG.
