downstream channel light keeps blinking (cm700)
Recently I bought a new modem for myself and my brother, as the family modem we use is slow. we connected the modem to the coax cable into the box on the wall. and turned it on. the "downstream channel" led light kept blinking, at first I thought I just had to wait. after 45 minutes of waiting it kept blinking. I checked information and it hasn't connected to a single downstream or upstream channel. Is it possible I missed a step in installing the modem?

Did you get it activated by the ISP?
That's kind of key to getting it connected and working.
